About
HykeLyfe, LLC
Brittany Stevenson started HykeLyfe, LLC to further the mind/body connection for her clients and holistically treat the wellness need for each individual as best as possible. Research shows that exercising outdoors decreases stress, depression, and anxiety. The benefits of nature include increased resiliency, higher self-esteem, repaired social engagement, and prepares us for a more engaged learning environment.
Brittany has been a licensed therapist since 2013 providing outpatient therapy for clients who struggle with depression and anxiety, those who self-injure, couples trying to regain a healthy relationship, and adolescents who need guidance towards a healthy and successful adult worldview. She also runs groups for anger management and self-esteem, and facilitates family counseling sessions.
Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. She completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Governors State University with a specialization in relationship/homosexual studies. Brittany practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is certified in domestic violence, partner abuse intervention, and mediation.
The HykeLyfe team has extensive experience with individual, group, and family interventions for a range of issues. HykeLyfe has been working with anger, violence, and self-esteem for many years. HykeLyfe offers psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Our Vision
Getting people back outside and transforming impossible struggles into solvable issues.
Random Interesting Fact
Getting outside is better for you mentally than any long, strenuous exercise routine indoors.
Services
Although the outdoors is a big part of what HykeLyfe does, it is not the only option for therapy with us. A beautiful, cozy, nature-inspired office is available for clients with physical limitations, clients who prefer the indoors, or if inclement weather prohibits a hike. Also, please be aware that hikes of any difficulty level can be provided, or an outdoor seat on a bench is also an option.
Sessions are a little over 50 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly to best fit your needs.

Sometimes
Daily life struggles can get overwhelming
We tend to expect a lot from ourselves and compare our life to others that we see on social media. This can make it difficult to have self-confidence and can contribute to depression and anxiety. You don’t have to feel alone anymore. In therapy, you can share your struggles with someone who will listen and guide without judgement or shame. The more you openly explore your problems, the more possible it is to have a happier, healthier future. Everything you share with me will remain 100% confidential unless you intend to hurt yourself or someone else. I have experience and training in couple’s counseling, anxiety, grief, depression, domestic violence, play therapy, teen guidance, family and neighborhood disputes, mental illness such as bipolar and schizophrenia, and anger management.
We are a team of independent self starters with high self esteem and positive attitudes.
With our help, we assure these traits will begin to appear in your life.
